'Blogging' has this awful way of turning into a full-time job. Not the posting part, but the reading part. i'm sure it's not uncommon for people with time (real or imagined) to start at a friend's blog at 8pm and find themselves at 10 on the other side of the planet, learning all about some unknown person' s great experience with their '96 Honda (ok, maybe that's just me, but you see what i'm saying).
Anyhow, last week i discovered that this can be done with more than just webpages. Maybe i'm slow to realize this, but it was a fascinating discovery nonetheless.
If you read 'Our Daily Bread', you'll know that there are a few Bible passages with each devotional. Often these texts cite others and, before you know it, it's 12am and you've been through several books of the Bible on one single train of thought.
The particular night of this great discovery, i came to Genesis 2. Probably have read this a gazillion times in various places and situations, but this time - in the context of spring - it really stood out and spoke clearly about the way of things.
Read it if you can - it's beautiful.
With the earth turning green even as i write, and the days getting warmer, people are outside in hordes. This is so common each and every year. What about this as well - Is it so surprizing that there is a movement towards 'green' in recent decades? Or that in the 50's, suburbs were created with huge, rolling private properties? Or that every summer provincial parks are stuffed to the max?
i don't think so. The LORD created His nature first, before men. Nature is where we began, caring for it was our first profession. There's little wonder that we are obsessed.
ps. this post has nothing much to do with worms ..
