Meet David (Mark Ruffalo), nice guy main character in Just Like Heaven. Good message, simple, definately chick flick material. This critic didn't mind it at all.
David is a landscape architect (what's that??). If you're not paying attention, you'll miss the moment of revelation.
It's a romantic idea. Cute, touching and all of that. Not sucked into the emotion of the flowery, airbrushed scene (of course, that's for saps), the whole matter was cut pointedly in two for me. One - no one on the script-writing team did a stitch of research into what a landscape architect actually is. Two - i want to be him. David. A professional who doesn't, apparently, know a thing about his profession.
One movie's ignorance is a calculating observer's bliss.

Hi (k)Elaine!
What a nice blog you have now! Great pictures, and I feel so incredibly honoured that my 'nice trees' link is on your blog. And then even on top of the list!! ;-)
Good that you want to show the world these nice pictures, as now everybody can see these interesting details they never picked up from trees before. For sure people will get a better understanding now, why these trees mean so much to you.
When Lynn was over this past weekend we got some images stored on the light sensitive paper. I'll send you some later on that might be interesting for you blog...
Keep up the good work!
Albert.
